Is the Manyunk Han Dynasty still byob??
In contention for the best Chinese I’ve ever had. Everything was awesome. Spicy chicken just how I like it. Pork fried rice stood out
MoreOne of my main places to grab something to eat. convenient location, clean, and awesome customer service. 5 stars!
MoreI stubbed on to this restaurant by accident. I so happened to walk by and decided to stop in. I’m so glad I did! The food was amazing! The meats were so tender. All of the veggies were so fresh and cooked to perfection! The host and waitress were very nice and helpful. I will definitely revisit when I’m in the area. FYI if you drink its byob!
MoreLove this place. Amazing food and good service. Food is family style and all the entrees are great, but it’s just as delicious to get a bunch of appetizers.
MoreFriendly staff, nice atmosphere, nutritious, palatable, fairly priced cuisine. One of a kind at Manayunk!
MoreGreat food and service! Double fried fish are my children's favorite!
I loved the eggplant and spring rolls. I also enjoyed the Dan Dan noodles. delish!
MoreAlways great customer service, a decent menu selection, fresh ingredients, a clean establishment, fast service, & modest pricing! This is my fave spot on Main St!
MoreGreat food. Only one toilet in the whole restaurant.
This chain is one of our favorite places, but tried this location for the first time, ordered our usual... absolutely disappointed. Rice was barely cooked, you could actually see the rice grains uncooked. Dan dan noodles had almost no sauce. Chicken was not cooked. Scallion pancake had no taste. 🤷🏻♀️
MoreI enjoyed my time here. I like the BYOB concept and how a lot of the entrees are big enough to share. I only wish they had more options that were mildly spicy or not spicy at all as I am very sensitive to spicy foods and there was only 2 or 3 things on the menu that were on the mild side.
MoreReally cool place. Great service. Great food. I like it spicy and this place has the spice. Also its byob!
MoreGreat dumplings.. garlic sauce is amazing
This is my second time in hand dynasty. Last time I went to a different location and it was super delicious. Tried something else today, I ordered Rice Noodles with chicken, not good as I thought and only one star for this dish, I also understood I don’t like rice Noodles 😟 Hopefully I will try something good next time. From today, I decided to add Item name, price and how good it was for me, along with the photo of the dish and I hope it would be more helpful for people. Sometimes when I read reviews and look for photos, some dishes looks super delicious 😋 and I want to try it so badly but I don’t know the name and have to search through the entire menu or ask the restaurant by showing them the photo I have to find out the name, I find it a bit difficult myself. So this time, I decided to give a little bit more information😀Hope it would be helpful for others as well😊
MoreReally great eats! This is the first restaurant I've dined at since officially becoming a Philly resident and I would easily suggest this place to anyone looking for good Chinese cuisine. I was a little disappointed by service upon arriving, but the food and interaction with one of the hostesses made for a great experience. I look forward to dining there again.
MoreTo be honest, I've never liked Chinese food. It's almost all been generic fast food style, with terrible quality overcooked chicken, instant rice, microwaved ingredients. This stuff, however, was awesome. We got the spicy beef noodles and chicken sauce kinda thing. They were both amazing. The only downside is that they only serve water and tea, but I can't knock them much for their choice.
MoreSo good! Complex, delicious flavors. Highly recommend the Dan Dan Noodles. We'll be back for sure.
MoreJust got rated by philly inquirer for having mice and mice droppings. Han DyNASTY!
MoreWe've come many times and have always had very fine meals. Good, authentic Chinese cuisine
More4 star for excellent food.... ambience was ok compared to other Han dynasty.... but their food was way better compared to others... we ordered pepper chicken, chicken hot pot style, fish hot pot style, chicken dumplings, pickle cucumber and very best DAN DAN NOODLE..... must try if u in manayunk
MoreFirst time here? Do yourself a favor and order the Dan Dan Noodles. It's probably the only decision that you'll make all week that you won't regret. And you're welcome.
MoreFor some reason this han dynasty is worse than all other han dynasties. Like their 3 cup chicken isn't 3 cup chicken... it's general tsos chicken. Oh, also it's been shutdown for vermin infestation.
MoreThis place has become a favorite. The service is always great, the food never disappoints, and the price is extremely reasonable. So thankful for this delicious Chinese food restaurant.
MoreGood food that's authentic. Place can be noisy. One of the better Chinese restaurants in the area. Some of the best Dan-Dan noodles dishes around. The pictures are the seafood tofu soup (after we'd eaten some, the bowl arrived full) and the hot sauce style chicken. You pick the style you want and the protein & spice level. Also reasonable vegetarian choices, too. Check the menu picture to get some idea.
MoreWould definitely recommend eating here. Great vibes, flavorful food, great service. They never disappoint.
MoreWe held my wife's 30th birthday party there, and even though it's a smaller venue they were more than happy to host our party of 20 people. The BYOB setting was perfect. We had fantastic service and awesome food for both vegetarian and non-veg. All around great time.
Morefood was great but they don't serve any drinks not even soft drinks 😯
Really good food here - had dinner here on a recent Sunday evening, with a party of 5, and everything that we had was really delicious. This is not the usual Chinese menu that I've had at other Chinese restaurants, but their food was outstanding. They have several spice options (everything is rated from not spicy to spicy rating of 10), and everything was fresh tasting & full of flavor. Our waitstaff were very attentive to us, refilling waters as well as hot tea. The ambiance is a bustling little cafe, and noise does carry within it's walls. But overall, wonderful place to get some really good flavored Chinese food. Will definitely be back.
MoreVery delicious. Very affordable. Not a place for people who dislike spicy food. Menu is dependent on spice tolerance (although you can request dishes be made with less spice)
MoreAmazingly flavorful food. Szechuan peppercorns are the best. They can adjust the spice level on almost any dish they make.
MoreThe best Chinese food I've eaten . The food is served hot, freshly made, and quickly. The spices used hits the taste buds like never before.
MoreFirst time here and I definitely plan on coming back with my family. Service was quick and the food was amaaaaaaaazing 😍. Please make sure you read the level of heat! Also, it’s BYOB! their green tea was absolutely perfect though.
MoreIt's a small place with good food. 😁👍
Pretty good, but I feel it's lacking a bit compared to it's University City counter part; but not by a lot. I love the Taiwanese sausage fried rice, which is always my go to. Dumplings in chili oil is also a must try! I'm glad that, after living in University City for so long, I can still enjoy some Han Dynasty in Manayunk!
MoreTasty food not always consistent still better than most.
The food is really good, and the dishes during lunch time are amazingly cheap. 100% Recomended!
MoreGreat food! Well prepared! Professional staff
Great dan-dan noodles - they make a trip here worth it. This is a local chain, as I believe there is at least one other restaurant near Society Hill. Parking is terrible in Manayunk, but that cannot be helped. The spicy cucumbers are a great opener for the dan-dan noodles.
MoreThis made me rethink my life up until the moment of the first bite. Everything I thought I knew about Chinese food was wrong. Completely wrong. I had the rest of my garlic beef and scallops after I picked myself up from the ground from passing out from the overload of flavor on my palate. The flavorful, tender cuts of beef and the buttery scallops just melt in your mouth after a bite and you melt right along with them. Everything that leaves that kitchen is greatness. Going to try to talk to the manager about moving in.
MoreGreat food and customer service. Always love trying something new. Only downfall is every time I try to call for pick up, the phone is always down.
MoreBest Chinese in Philly. Great for BYOB. Beat service I've ever had.
Best Chinese I am aware of on the east coast. Much more authentic than your typical American Chinese
MoreIf you're craving good Szechuan, Han Dynasty can satisfy that craving. We shared three dishes, DanDan Noodles, Kung Pao Chicken and Eggplant with Garlic Sauce. You can pick your spice by level, from 1 through 10. There was no one in the restaurant due to Covid-19, so the wait for takeout was tolerable. A return trip is definitely in our future.
MoreWow. Best Chinese food I’ve ever had. We ordered spicy, and we got spicy. So very savory. Our server was excellent too, made some very good recommendations that we followed and were totally happy with. The noodle appetizer is excellent. All the veggies fresh and just mmm. Prices were below expectations too. Goood stuff.
MoreDumplings in red chilli oil is the best!!
Highly recommend! For all Chinese and American. I feel so surprised that I could find a perfect Chinese restaurant like this. Even better a lot than any restaurant in New York! Very delicious! You should try!
MoreEach Han Dynasty is a little bit different. While they're all very good, I was delighted to find that the Dry Pepper Style Tofu here was much better than what you'll get if you order the same dish at the University City location. Here you will get a platter of breaded, delicious, bite-sized cubes of tofu that are orders of magnitude tastier than the sad, naked, over-sized triangles you will be served if you order the same dish in University City.
MoreI've been to the Han Dynasty at University City as well, and this is similar in quality. I like to see good Szechuan food, it is hard to find any other cuisine other than Indian or Caribbean that is similarly very spicy, though they are also very accommodating of less spicy dishes. If you like the food here, I would also recommend the Spicy Memory restaurant in Center City, which is also Szechuan style.
MoreFirst time. Good food but, some foods are greasy. Better ask before the order comes in if that's not to your liking.
MoreThe service was ellexcent the food was great nice and cozy atmosphere
